Implementing a State of the Art Station Information & Security System (SISS)
REQUIREMENT
- An OEM delivers state of the art integrated public communication & security systems for the Railway and Transportation Industry
- Standardization of mechanical solutions across train information, display, and public announcement systems to optimize designs, sourcing and delivery
- A new design included digitalization of security systems on the rolling stock through active software agression & incidence recognition connected to CCTVs ensuring detection, prevention and prompt response

No system downtime – high availability required
Public announcement displays needed to provide real-time information to passengers, thus live tracking of train and public transport availability was key in delivering required service level:

SOLUTION
The nVent SCHROFF team leveraged their technical expertise to specify standard railway certified cabinet and subracks to house the following applications both wayside installed on the platform and onboard of the rolling stock:

- Passenger data communication
- Improved security management solutions
